TREE FLOW
By Anna Biela, Ph.D. “Aner”
06 / 11 / 2026 / VIEW ROOM
Visit the Beer Loft Art Gallery in Wrocław, Poland, to experience “Tree Flow”, a forest-inspired installation created in a Forest Garden in Mirków, near Wrocław, in late July 2024, as part of the exhibition Flow at BWA Wałbrzych Stara Kopalnia. Full documentation is available on the artist’s website.
The cycle draws inspiration from the “Wood Wide Web” – an underground mycelial network through which trees communicate, exchange nutrients and support one another. The installation makes this hidden interdependence visible through colour, movement and rhythm.
Tree Flow is not a mirror of the forest, but an extension of it. The paintings bring the rhythm and dynamism of trees into an architectural space, allowing nature to extend beyond its physical boundaries.
At the heart of Biela’s artistic practice is Flow – a state of deep immersion in the creative process. For the artist, painting is a form of prayer and meditation. Her spray-painted works are created outdoors as site-specific installations conceived for particular locations.
THIS INSTALLATION IS PRESENTED THROUGH THE KIND COURTESY OF THE ARTIST AND THE VIEW ROOM MUSEUM.
Founded by the artist in Wrocław on 04 / 04 / 2022, the Anna Biela Museum of Contemporary Art, Design and Material Culture “View Room” documents her artistic practice since her return to Poland in 2005. It is located in the former “Butelkownia”, Unit No. 5, at Browary Wrocławskie, a historic brewery site dating back to 1893.
