He[art] Spray

When creativity sprays from the heart into the world

By Anna Biela, Ph.D.

19 / 10 / 2026 / 1:23 AM / VIEW ROOM

Sometimes, creation begins with a single idea. And sometimes, once it begins, it simply keeps coming.

He[art] Spray is my new album, born from the intersection of visual art, music, and the spontaneous release of creativity. What began as a single created for an exhibition opening evolved into an entire album of ten singles, each released individually. The songs seemed to spray out of me, one after another, almost as if someone had pressed the cap of a spray can and I couldn’t stop creating.

And that is precisely where the concept of He[art] Spray begins.

My paintings are created through the physical act of spraying — releasing paint from a can onto a surface and allowing it to become something new. The gesture is direct, immediate, and expressive. What begins inside me becomes visible on the canvas.

With music, the process felt remarkably similar.

The songs emerged one after another, carrying the same impulse to create and release what was within me. I did not set out to create ten singles that would eventually become an album. I began with one song for the exhibition, and the rest followed. The music seemed to have its own momentum, as though the cap had been pressed and the creativity simply sprayed out into the world.

He[art] Spray became the natural name for this process — a meeting point between the visual and the auditory, between the painted gesture and musical expression.

The album cover features a photograph of the actual empty spray cans I used to create the paintings presented in the exhibition.

These are not merely objects chosen to illustrate the album title. They are the very instruments through which the paintings came into existence. They carry the traces of the creative process, connecting the physical act of painting with the spontaneous emergence of the music.

The cans have been emptied, but their purpose has been fulfilled. Their contents have been released into the world, leaving behind the evidence of creation.

This is what makes them the perfect image for He[art] Spray.

The paint was released from the cans onto the canvases. The music was released from within me into the world. Both emerged through an act of expression that transformed something contained into something shared.

The empty spray cans therefore become more than remnants of the paintings. They become symbols of creative release — vessels that have given what they contained to the world.

He[art] Spray brings together the visual art and music created through the He[art] Movement, connecting the paintings presented at the View Room with the musical expressions inspired by the exhibition.

The journey began with a single created for the exhibition opening. It continued through the release of ten individual singles, each becoming part of an unfolding process. Now, those ten songs come together as one album.

On October 26, 2026, exactly one month after the first album release in Bristol, UK, under the He[art]step label, He[art] Spray will bring these individual musical releases together into a single album.

The date marks another step in the development of He[art]step as a music label and the introduction of a creative language in which the heart becomes both the source and the instrument of expression.

What began as one song has become a collection. What began in connection with an exhibition has expanded into a musical extension of the paintings themselves.

Within the He[art] Movement, He[art] Spray signifies the release of creativity into the world. It is about allowing what lives within to take form without holding it back.

Spraying becomes a metaphor for creative liberation: the moment when an inner impulse crosses the boundary between the invisible and the visible, between what is felt and what can be experienced by others.

The spray can becomes an extension of the hand. The hand becomes an extension of the heart. And the creation becomes something that can travel beyond its creator, reaching other people in ways that cannot always be predicted.

In this sense, He[art] Spray is not simply about paint or music. It is about the act of releasing — allowing ideas, emotions, sounds, colours, and expressions to find their way into the world.

The empty cans on the album cover tell the story without needing to explain it. They are physical evidence of what has already been released.

The paintings remain. The music remains. The creation continues.

Ten singles, brought together as one album. Paint released onto ten canvases. Music released into the world.

One heart. Many expressions. One continuous act of creation.
