My motivation for being celibate is the HPV virus.

I really want to be intimate only with my He[art]twin, if we are ever meant to meet. This virus makes intimacy quite difficult, as it can be transmitted not only through sex, but also through kissing and oral sex.
I am writing this because I want to be open and honest about my health and about living with HPV 16, a high-risk type of HPV. This virus has become a very personal part of my journey, and it is one of the inspirations behind my song “Healer,” from my first album, Inpouring.
HPV is my motivation to stay celibate until my body clears the virus, which I believe it will—and maybe it already has. I am a very empathetic person, and I don’t want to knowingly put somebody else at risk. For me, choosing celibacy has become an act of love, responsibility and faith.
This diagnosis is also what brought me back to healing and breathwork. It made me look inward again, reconnect with my body, my breath and my faith, and ask the Holy Spirit for healing. I pray and practice healing for several hours each day.
If I ever do meet the person I am meant to share intimacy with, I want us to be completely open and honest about my health. A partner can also speak with a doctor about HPV vaccination, which can protect against several HPV types, although vaccination does not treat an existing HPV infection.
I don’t know if I will ever meet my He[art]twin, or if our relationship will be intimate, as at the centre of my Myślenice mission is the He[art] Movement, and that is the main reason for the union. But if we get married in the eyes of our Heavenly Father, as I pray we will, I want our intimacy to be built on honesty, love, trust and responsibility—not fear.
I believe in healing.
I pray and lay hands on myself, asking the Holy Spirit to heal me. 🙏🏻🕊️ I also continue to take care of my body through medical care and regular follow-ups, and I remain abstinent from alcohol, weed and any other drugs.
I don’t know exactly why this happened to me. I don’t claim to know God’s plan. But I can choose how I respond to it.
For me, “Healer” is more than just a song. It is the expression of this chapter of my life—the diagnosis, the fear, my return to healing and breathwork, my faith, and my prayer for the Holy Spirit to guide me.
A prayer for healing.
A prayer for surrender.
A prayer for faith.
A prayer for love. 🩵
