VIEW ROOM / WROCLOVE
Today I am experiencing He[art]pour.
It is a very evident feeling — like warmth and coziness is flowing out of my heart centre, the seat of the soul.
And that is precisely what my new exhibition is about.
He[art]pour.
It has been a while in the making. The paintings were created back in May, and the soundtrack came together in September, but the exhibition is finally coming to the View Room on October 10, after a long exorcism.
Even though the paintings have already been here, Outpouring into the View Room, they have not yet been hung.
I needed to prepare.
Not only the View Room, but also my heart.
I needed to make space for He[art]pour.
And today, after finally realising that I am completely happy with the way things are, and after saying my piece and sharing some of my deepest feelings with the world, something shifted.
I suddenly felt filled with love.
And it is different.
It is no longer an Outpouring.
It is no longer an Inpouring.
It is a constant pour.
A warm and fuzzy feeling — almost like looking at kittens.
Just this soft, ridiculous, beautiful feeling of love coming from somewhere inside me.
And perhaps that is the whole point.
The View Room is still very much in the works. It has not yet been fully prepared. It is presentable, and most importantly, it is no longer chaotic.
This has been a very chaotic year.
I am actually very good at suppressing my emotions and carrying on. I can function. I can create. I can travel. I can make things happen.
But the people who really know me can see it.
They see it on my face immediately when something is off.
My facial expressions don’t lie.
And today, I can honestly say that my heart feels clean and light.
Through confession, I flushed down the drain so much shit that had been clogged up for decades.
One layer after another.
And yesterday, the last thing to go was Reiki.
Perhaps that was part of what had been clouding my heart all along?
I don’t know.
I am still processing a lot.
But there is one thing I know for sure.
I feel so much better now that I have finally been completely honest with my He[art]twin about my illness.
That was not easy for me.
There is something incredibly vulnerable about telling someone you love about the things you are afraid of, especially when you don’t know how they will receive it.
I could have kept quiet.
I could have hidden it.
I could have pretended everything was fine.
But that isn’t how I want to love anymore.
I want to love with all the cards on the table.
No hiding. No pretending. No carefully edited version of myself.
Just me.
My truth. My fears. My faith. My body. My heart.
Everything.
And strangely, after finally saying it all, I didn’t feel more afraid.
I felt lighter.
Like something I had been carrying inside my chest for a long time finally had somewhere to go.
Maybe that is what He[art]pour is.
Not just pouring love outward.
But finally allowing everything that has been trapped inside the heart to move.
And now I feel this warmth.
This softness.
This ridiculous kitten-like happiness.
I feel free.
I feel warm.
I feel cozy.
I feel loved.
I feel like something inside me has finally stopped fighting and started flowing.
He[art]pour.
Not forcing.
Not chasing.
Not pulling.
Just pouring.
Constantly.
From the He[art].
